First Letter

The last few days, Henry has gotten up from naps 20 or 30 minutes before the other two wake up. When I make a point to take advantage of it, it offers some rare one-on-one time, and I've really enjoyed it. He spends naptime reading on his own in his room, and I hadn't realized completely how his language (or reading/writing) skills have exploded! The other day he surprised me by sounding out and reading some words by himself. Today he wrote his first letter. I spelled the words for him, and he did the rest. Amazing! Here's his first letter (Micah will be so surprised when he gets home!):

It says:

"To Daddy. I love you. Love Henry. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO"
