Foreign Exchange Kids
The boys have been fascinated by languages lately. So much so, that they've been speaking their own. They usually say something in jibberish, and then tell me (in case it wasn't clear), "That was just some Spanish with a little bit of French." I usually nod and smile and pretend to be enlightened.
Tonight at supper, Henry was full of Spanish-French vocabulary. Finally, after sharing several sentences in his new language, he shrugged his little shoulders and said,
"I guess I must be a French boy. I think I grew up in French a little bit. But now I live here."
Not sure languages or geography will be his strongest suit, but I'm sure loving the introduction to foreign culture.
