Money Matters

Henry:  Here, Mommy.  Here are the things you bought at my store.
Me:  Thanks, Henry.  How much does this cost?
Henry:  A lot of money.
Me:  Well, Buddy, that's not really an amount...
Thomas:  C'mon, Mommy.  Go!
Me:  I need to pay for this food first, Thomas.
Thomas:  Thank you, God.  Amen!
Henry:  Here, Mommy.  Now I'll pay you for the food.
Me:  Henry, I'm buying the food-- I should be paying you!  How much does it cost?
Henry:  Three buttons.
Me:  *Sigh* You only gave me one button and a quarter to pay you with.

It's at times like these that I get a little nervous about the future of our economy...
