'Paragus Pee
Last night we had asparagus for supper. It's actually a favorite family recipe, but Thomas was struggling to get "that green stuff" down. So I used a sure-fire little boy tactic:
"Do you know what's cool about asparagus? If you eat enough of it, like all of what you have on your plate, it makes your pee really stink."
His eyes got big, and he choked down his bites. An hour later I heard him in the bathroom,
"It worked! It really worked! That 'paragus worked!"
My inner girl cringed at the tactic, but we'll use whatever techniques it takes...
