Jack Needs a Mommy
This afternoon I told Thomas the "Jack and Jill" nursery rhyme. When I got to the end, he said,
"Oh no, Mommy! Jack fall down. Not have Mommy. Not kiss Jack better."
He was so devastated on Jack's behalf that I finally offered to kiss Jack better myself. He was much relieved. A while later when we were reciting it for Micah, his version went something like this:
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Mommy kissed him all better.
