Guys and Dolls
I've said it a hundred times and I'll say it a hundred more: Cora's growing up experience is SO different from mine, what with two big brothers! She sweet-talked Thomas into playing dolls with her. A few minutes later, I heard a series of thumps down the stairs, followed by the two of them running into the kitchen.
Thomas: Mom, Mom! Cora's Dana just fell down the stairs!
Me: Oh no! I hope she's ok...
Thomas, shrugging and walking out: Oh, she's fine. She's tough like Cora.
Another series of thumps.
Thomas: Mom! She fell again!
Me: Maybe you should give her a check-up, make sure she's ok.
Thomas: No, Mom! Those were her awesome tricks! She just did somersaults. Now she's going to do cartwheels!
Cora was so happy to have him playing dolls with her, she ran and found some dolls of her own to shove down the stairs. At least when she's left to her own devices, her maternal instinct kicks in and she knows how to treat a baby...
