Me: Thomas, will you give me a little hug before you go to sleep?
Thomas: No, I can't. Maybe you could hug yourself!
Me: No, I've tried that. It just doesn't work. Can't you hug me?
Thomas: No.
Me: I think you're too little. I think that's why you can't hug me. You're just too little and you don't know how.
Thomas: Yep, I'm too little. So maybe you could just go out.
Well, that attempt at reverse psychology was a painful little failure...
