Loud, Terrible Sound Noises

Me:  Thomas, are you up from your nap already?  Did you sleep?
Thomas: Yes, but I heard a loud, terrible sound noise and it woke me up.  It was the terriblest noise ever!

We've suddenly become very verbal and very dramatic around here.
