Pajama Parade

Today was a Very Good Day. I write it in caps, because I have been praying--without exaggeration-- for a day like today for weeks. The kids were happy, the sun was shining, the house was clean(ish)... It was a quality day. We colored pictures, had a tea party, dressed up like cowboys and Captain Hook, played hide-and-seek outside, went for three walks... The icing on the cake was our last activity of the day: a pajama parade.

Micah was gone all day and all evening, so after supper we did a quick round of baths, got dressed in pajamas, piled into the wagon, and went out for a long walk around campus. The boys took along all their bedtime stuffed animals (they each have quite a collection that's essential for a good night's sleep), a snack, and flashlights. They loved it! And it was wonderful to get in one last little walk before the cold and rain start tomorrow.

Excuse the horrible picture, but here are the boys on our little night-time adventure. You'll have to settle for a cell phone picture. I couldn't get a good shot of Cora, pajama'ed and snoozing in the Snugli.
