Don't Forget the Lyrics

Both Thomas and Cora are forever humming or singing a song under their breaths.  I absolutely love it.  I also love their own unique variations on the lyrics, usually the result of some word they've misunderstood in the song.  But working lyrics into their conversations...  That's a new phenomenon today.

Cora, dressed as Super Girl and charging at me: You better watch out!  Santa Claus is coming to town! (as she pounced on me and tackled me to the ground)

Thomas, after asking for a second slice of bread with his soup: I really want some butter on it, Mom.  Let me live that fantasy!

You never know what will come out of these children's mouths, whether it's spoken or sung...
