Rainy Days and Tuesdays

After some very busy weeks (and weekends!) we're enjoying a little quiet and a lot of rain around here.  After powering through most of our very long to-do list this morning, we put housework and responsibility aside, picked up our umbrellas, and set out on an adventure.  We splashed in every puddle in our neighborhood, stopped under trees to feel the rain pelting our umbrellas, stepped over seed pods on the sidewalk pretending they were snakes, and waded through the water at the curbs.  It was Cora's maiden voyage as far as umbrella walks go, and she did a fantastic job.  Not that she remembered to keep the umbrella over her head the entire time, but coming home to change into warm, dry clothes is half the fun.  And there's nothing more likely to bring a smile to my face on a rainy Tuesday than looking behind me and seeing three bobbing umbrellas with boots traipsing along behind me on the sidewalk!
