Elegant Scones
After his shower tonight, Thomas sat down next to me on the couch and pulled out a Pottery Barn catalog.
"This is pretty funny, Mom, don't you think? A kid my age, reading a magazine about how to redecorate my bathroom? Ha. This is hilarious."
A few minutes later, he looked at me with a funny expression on his face.
Thomas: Mom, why would a person put classic scones in their bathroom?
Me: Scones? What do you-- Oh, I see. Those are sconces, Thomas, not scones. Sconces.
That "c" makes all the difference.
